  • The Alpha Project is designed to provide today’s college student with a leadership intensive that is situated in a life-giving environment. The combination of length, location, and leadership training enables the Alpha Project to meet the need for spiritual growth while also satisfying the desires for rest and enjoyment.

  • May 12-31, 2024 (leaders arrive May 11)

  • Students from the following colleges and universities: Davidson, Elon, East Carolina, High Point, North Carolina A&T, NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, UNC Charlotte, UNC Greensboro, Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, and The Citadel.

  • The Alpha Project is $1,750* per participant and includes:

    • Housing

    • Meeting space

    • Several group meals provided each week

    • A weekly $75 stipend for personal meals

    • Social events

    • Training materials and resources

    Staff will assist participants with fundraising training to assist with the cost. Each year, most students are able to raise the full amount through the generous partnership of family, friends, churches, and organizations. See here for the Alpha Project Fundraising & Cancellation Policies.

    *$1,800 for leaders to cover the additional cost of the spring Leadership Retreat

  • The Alpha Project will include small group Bible studies, large group meetings, shared meals, training sessions, community outreach and yes, plenty of fun.

  • Hilton Head Island, SC - Students and staff will live in several guest houses within walking distance from the beach. These beautiful homes were selected to provide participants with a comfortable living environment during their stay.

  • With the increase in summer obligations such as internships, summer classes, and responsibilities at home, we wanted to provide a context where students could start their summer well spiritually and still give time to these commitments. We believe that students are still able to get the experience of a traditional eight-week summer leadership training program in a three-week intensive style summer training program.

  • Are you a NCAA Athlete? No problem, you’ll have opportunities to work out, get to a gym or use free time to further your training athletically.
